This is a video of my JTR Captivator Pro pair. These are the best subs I've ever owned --or heard-- by a wide margin. My previous set was a SVS PB13 Ultra pair so I'm not stranger to quality subs, before that I owned a pair of Jamo D7Subs, before that I owned a pair of Infinity HPS-1000 subs. These Captivator Pros are the best BY FAR. The reason I love these subwoofers so much is that they are so tactile. They are 4000 watt RMS power handling and 7,200 watt Peak, with about a 4" excursion on a 18" driver. I had a sleeping bag down one day for the kids to play on and started watching some movie demo clips with a friend. We laughed when we noticed the sleeping bag was flying around like it was demon possessed. I recreated the scene with my camcorder so I could film just how incredible these speakers are. Keep in mind these two Captivator pros are being driven from a single $400 amp - the Behringer Inuke DSP 3000 - each sub is getting probably about 1,000 watts RMS. I am running the equipment at -5 from reference and the subs are NOT turned up hot from the mains. You'll get a pretty clear picture why these 18" high excursion subwoofers are my favorite subs I've ever heard for movie watching. The air movement from these things is easily felt from the seats and it really adds to the overall movie experience! These subs also have more headroom than you can handle --- I've got a small amp split between the two giving them about 1/4 the power they are capable of. Just imagine what they'd do with a massive amp supplying them 4000 watts each! If you are interested you can look into them at JTRSpeakers.com. Tell Jeff, the owner that Jonathan VonEngeln, Archaea at AVSforum, sent you his way and tell him I said hi and thanks again for making such an AWESOME product!

  • Nice video. I'm glad you like the JTR captivators. i myself have owned 4 growlers but now I upgraded to 4 orbit shifter pros and 2 triple 12 pros :-)

  • @djbman81

home theater use or strictly DJ use?

  • Nice vid man!

How do you like those Inuke's?

It seems like it has plenty fo power - I'm only using one amp in dual mono mode. Both subs are wired for 2ohm and the amp hasn't had any issue powering well beyond what I can stand in my home. The fan gets loud when you run them hard, but it quiets back down fast. Overall I like it better than my EP4000 which was also a very good amp.
