A Super Crack Yuri AMV

Here's my entry for the challenge with ChikaneHatesSouma, EmoBunnyGirl1, and chepchep23.

Lain x Karen (Please Twins!) set to "The Love I'm Searching for" by The Rentals

This edit was a lot smoother that I thought it was going to be. At first I knew Lain would be one half of the pair, but I didn't know who to match her with. I don't know why I finally chose Karen, maybe 'cos I felt sorry for her being Maiku's sister and not his lover. I really didn't have to force it and as it turns out I really didn't use much more than the first 4-5 episodes of either series.

*Post-challenge self-criticism*
Karen has mandible hair! She looks like an ant! I think I had good matching of scenes to lyrics. Perhaps I should have put the scene of Karen waking up next to Lain later, but I felt I had to sell them as a couple as soon as possible. I think best parts of my video are on the chorus sections in terms of flow and when I synced Karen with "you should be with me". I think the last chorus is especially powerful with the "Lain in the Wired" kind of scenes from the opening. I ended the video abruptly
with "Transmission Interrupted" to echo "the message lost in the machine". All in all, I'm glad that everyone at least enjoyed my video even if they didn't vote for it.

Karen is my type of girl, straight or not. I thought it weird at first to see Laina dn Karin since they are so quiet most of the time, but you totally made me appreciate them as a couple. May their love last forever!! JK. I like the footage and it was nice to see clips with both of them on the screen at the same time. I agree about Maiku, I just want to console Karen. I liked her from the beginning!

Karin may be quiet, but she is very emotive. Even when she's not speaking this animators were able to show how she was feeling. That made a nice contrast to Lain's nonchalant nature.
