hahah! i've yet to try it since my mother refuses to buy a food processor=( i once soaked my chickpeas too long and tried to steam it an it got all stinky. do you know how to make salted steamed chickpeas? it's called kachang puteh.

Total, TOTAL overkill.

Good Hummus doesn't need mire lemons or any of that other pretentious crap. It needs a high tahini ratio (i.e. lots of fat), basic seasoning and you need to let the chickpea and sesame flavors shine through. If anything, use a touch of normal lemon juice. The consistency needs to be smooth and creamy.

What you made isn't hummus, it's flavored chickpea dip.
