Demo the damn thing, don't make a shitty slide show with horrible music, please.

@PSNgregiskool This is true. What is uncertain, is if his original was used on "Finish What You Started" or he got another one. Definitely an awesome clean tone. Legendary in fact.

I have a picture of my sister holding my original Del Rey, back in 1983. That one was just like yours only dot inlay on the neck. That's why I was so intrigued with this one, It has all the characteristics of the ET 220, but only one pickup.

@greggallen2007 --i just looked carefully at your ax in your tube--body is the same as my 220's-neck however is not--I've never seen a ET 220 with dot -there usually block-also every 220 thats original has not the logo with delrey -its just teisco with a small crown in the center (metal)-the diff is obvious the 220 spectrum 2 has 2 mic pickups with a solo/rhythm switch- also switches for both pickups to be played together or single-neck / bridge-the trem sys of course-send me your e-mail ady..

@8276205 And thank you for the compliment, I do enjoy playing very much. But if you have any info on this guitar, I would really appreciate it, not much online about this Teisco with one pickup.
-
@8276205 O.K. Fair enough, I use to have an ET 220 when I first started playing, the one that I recently got seems to have the same body and 1 Spectrum pickup instead of 2, no trem. But the body and craftsmanship looks the same, is there something that I'm missing? How is mine so much different from the ET 220? Just curious.

its a mid 60's ET-220 ( OR SPECTRUM 2 ) Its an awesome playing axe--the pickups leave much to be desired and are weak-but everything else on it is top notch-it has one of the finest playing necks on it even in todays standards-close and fast-and the trem sys is almost flawless--if you getting into collecting teisco's this is a must--its an addictive playing axe for sure. Mosrite replacement pickups really bring it to its full potential.

@greggallen2007 -greg i may have been abit to strong with my comment and i apologize for that-but you can't compare your teisco with a ET-220 Spectrum-they are 2 complete levels or classes of guitar--the 220 is far superior IMO and more of a professional axe (back in the 60's) whereas your guitar was(hopefully without offending you ) a beginners model-but in the right hands-like yours -it can sound pretty darn good like in your tube--there fun to have and play-i have had many-so rock on man...
-
@8276205 But you said mine was junk??
("yeah ok--u paid 60.00 bucks--that was like 50.00 too much--it was crap in the 60's and age has only made it worse---good playing though")
-
i have dealt with teiscos since 1963 and the et-220 is the only guitar that was any good-they aced it on this one--and even in todays standards--it can hold its own--finest neck iv'e ever played-and i have been playing 45+ years.....
i have a ET-200N, what does that N stand for? can someone tell me what year it was too?

i learned from someone that the makers of the Teisco guitars were constantly mixing up their serial numbers. I looked up ET-200 and I saw a picture of a guitar just like mine, but with a tulip design. So, it may have been that your serial number was misprinted, same as mine. I can't give you an exact date, but it was somewhere in the 1960's.
