  • The wonderful thing about Stotts Pilates is that they are not afraid to change, things evolve, and thats how it should be. We are working with people who are all different, who are all searching for the "truth" in movement, so what ever works in the moment is what I'll go with!

  • The original method is alright but never moved on. SP is really good because it took it to the next level. I agree that some of the workshops are a bit "watery" as you would say but being that the Original Method focuses on everything in a posterior tilt and we know that neutral is a much more shock absorbing position, I think the contemporary way is the way Joseph would have gone anyways. Nothing magical about it. It's just good biomechanics applied to functional movement.

  • Classical Pilates is far superior to this watered down and diluted version of so called Pilates. You could at least have the decency to call it something else as Joseph Pilates never did any this rubbish in the video. I'ii make up my own exercise and call it Karate!! Thats what Stott did to the original Pilates!! Be warned people reading this comment before it's pulled down!!
