I recently bought this kit and I love it, but the stock heads are terrible. What heads would you recommend?
-
I have the same drums.. can you tell me what heads are in the drums please?
-
@posiedonpowertrio could you not figure that out by watching the video
-
@fretbored1 Do the floor toms come with legs? And do you need to get the stands for the tom toms?
-
hey, sounds great. I'm thinking about getting this kit. I lean more towards Tama, but they don't have the kit I wanted at guitarcenter anymore... anyway... What heads do you have on your toms? The ones that came with the set?
Thanks

is this good as a recording drum set

@jw1487 hey, if you haven't gotten this set yet, i know a sick deal of the ddrum dios maple. thats the one im tryong to go for, and it costs $1000, but the msrp is $2400. beat that. the finish is beautiful, and it hs 2 models of either 2 mounted toms and one floor tom, or vice versa. i can't afford it yet, but i know it is a great set to go on tour.
Hey man... I'm looking a buying this set. How exactly are the toms mounted? For example... if I got a Gibraltar drum rack, do the toms have the hardware to go right on a rack?
Or is that something I'd have to invest in? Great playing by the way. Funky groove right after you took off the headphones.

The toms came with mounts for stand or rack mounting. There's no hole in the bass drum, which I always consider a positive. Any time you begin drilling a ton of holes in shells, it's going to affect the resonance. Thanks for the kind words.

hi there! first of all, totally pro! i m just wondering :P which one should i get? the blue-black duo fade like yours? or the white-black version? right now im leaning towards the blue, but I also like the white :P

Hey, thanks for the kind words. The white/black fade doesn't look as nice. It's hard to see these because of the inferior studio lighting, but they don't look bad at all. I think at the price point, the paint and powder coating go on pretty fast, so the darker colors come out better. White's hard to fade anyway. When you see artist promo picks with white/black, it's different than the one you'll receive.
