One thing this show often did was try and confuse the panel by having female contestants with traditional "men's" jobs. You'd think the panel would be wise to this trick.
Bobby Darin was David Bowie before there was a Bowie. What I mean by that is that he was the first true pop music chameleon. He did rock, standards and even folk.
Bobby Darin had rheumatic fever as a child; it permanently damaged his heart. His doctors predicted that he would not live past his teens. He was an amazing guy: genius-level IQ, brilliant singer, songwriter, mimic, actor . . . You name it and Bobby could excel at it.
My heavens, the usually articulate Arlene certainly stumbles over her intro of Bobby, doesn't she? She also says frund instead of fund. John gives away his British heritage at 2:01 with "vedy".
Was there any pattern to whether Arlene or Dorothy would be on the left of the panel? Did it change by season, or randomally? I only remember Bennett on the right.
