It Gets Better... Seriously

This is my video on being a gay teen for Dan Savage's It Gets Better project. If you're an LGBT teen struggling with identity issues and contemplating suicide, please don't give up. There's hope out there, and it gets better.

I didn't say all Republicans were anti-gay, or even haters. If you listen to it, I wasn't bashing people.

What I actually said was ignore the haters, the far-right republicans, and anyone who thinks that being gay is disgusting. I would never say everyone is out to get gays, but there are many who bully gays. Those people are terrible, as are those who want to prevent me from having equal rights.

That's not the point of this video. Suicide because of bigotry happens, and it has to stop.

Good boy, excellent healing Video for the sad kids out there. Especially saying the bullies win if a gay kid kills himself, you are right.

I agree that's why gay people excel, they are STRONGER than most str8 people.

You are beautiful and intelligent, I know people will benefit from your Video thank you.

In summary, yes there will still be assholes that's part of life, and I quote, "Screw 'em." Worry is Wasteful. Rejoice and go outside and get some sunshine :)

If you're referring to the way I signed my comment "MsQueer" - that is the name of my LGBTQ Blog - as in "Ms." (like we did it in the 70's as feminists) "Queer" - as in the campy use of the term today. My comment was sincere. "Thanks for sharing. Good advice. Stay strong!" I am lesbian feminist in my 60's out for 40 years. Was out singing and rallying for LGBTQ rights in the 70's.

Moving away from the town I grew up in was the best thing I ever did. It's a big step to move (In my case to a city 800 miles) away from home, but at least you don't have to worry about your old life following you around. Great video.
