Not to offend anyone :))
I made this for our Social Science month, my group's assignment was to make a video about the relationship of Mexico and the Philippines and all I could think of was a dating game. *cough* Hetalia's *cough* influence.
And I've learned that there are many similarities between these two countries.
Yes, I'm the fag in the moustache :))
This was *obviously* unscripted and we thought of everything spot on. I kinda like how
@03Terrestre You are correct. Archaeologist and Historians believe that Our Lady of Guadalupe as we know it today has it's true origins from a patron deity called, the Black Madonna, especially a the version from GUADALUPE, SPAIN, Spaniards did their usual Roman style practice of integrating indigenous lure with the Catholic beliefs to subjugate the people they conquered much easier. The original point to "audijam" was that "Guadalupe" predates the Spanish arrival to Atzlan!!!

@ZootSuitWolf It is said that Juan Diego said she identified herself as Coatlaxupeh in Nahuatl and the priest Hispanisized it to Guadalupe.

@audijam As for the China poblana, I agree it is not a big deal, however, that original post was in response to and ignorant individual who made the ridiculous statement that Filipinos want to be Mexican and that there was only a one way cultural exchange between the two cultures, no disrespect to Mexico intended, of coarse. As for the Aztecs, I agree with you that they were helped by others and if you read my other original comments correctly, you would have seen that. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! :OD

@audijam Just so that you know, the Virgin of Guadalupe's origin has it's true origins from Spain in that she was a the patron deity of a village named Guadalupe Spain, so naturally it would be exported to places that Spain colonized so if you are implying that she came to the Philippines via Mexico, you are not fully correct. However, there may have been a cultural exchange through the galion trade, it is more likely that true Spaniards brought that patron deity to the islands.

@ZootSuitWolf ¿So what with the china poblana dress? You have the La Virgen de Guadalupe there, so? Aztecs were defeated by the European ills and by the other indigenous who joined Cortez side, not just Spaniards (who were easly outnumbered), Mexican territory just as the pre-Hispanic Philippines was not an unified kingdom and Aztecs had many enemies. And well, is true Aztecs never used metals, they were (oddly) happy with obsidian.

I'm Filipino to the core, and I love Mexico and Latin America. And why shouldn't I, when my mom's ancestors came to the Philippines from Mexico during the Manila-Acapulco Galleon Trade? Mahal ko ang Filipinas, y yo amo Mexico y toda America Latina porque somos vinculados por la cultura y la historia. Viva Mexico, Viva Filipinas, Viva la Hermanidad Hispana!
