Great debate about a brilliant band, they went a more commercial direction in the later eighties (trying to appeal to the mainstream market which may have been a mistake, still good music though, they were heavily put down with the rock the nations and destiny albums...) Saxon are so underated!! they have not made a bad album in the last two decades!! its just they dont get the publicity to promote their albums due to idiots like these here!!!! one guy goes on about UFO, sorry but where are UFO now??? Saxon are still there fighting the fight!!!!! thier new album Call To Arms...Again is Awesome!!!! just check it out!!!!! they really are number 1 !!!

The UK (media) really think they are 'too cool for school' sometimes, depriving the British public of such a great style of music for over 20 years now...I want to see Saxon sell out arenas in the UK from now on....cos they're brill....cummon !!!!
