Edison wanted to show the danger of alternating current because he was a representative for direct current. He also killed many cats and dogs by the same way, just for prooving the danger of alternating current and for blaming his biggest competitor Westinghouse (the representative for alternating current). (By the way the elephant killed or hurted someone, so his death could be legitimated.)
Edison wollte die Gefahr des Wechselstroms zeigen, da er ein Vertreter des Gleichstroms war. Er tötete auch viele Katzen und Hunde auf die gleiche Weise, nur um die Gefahr des Wechselstroms zu beweisen und seinen größten Konkurrenten Westinghouse (den Vertreter für Wechselstrom anzuprangern) anzuprangern.
