Maybe the train was travelling between Frankfurt Main Station and Airport and therefore was not running at 300 km/h.

The ICE like all high speed trains does not do it's top speed just outside of a station it has just left or is approaching. Put it this way, the ICE would easily burn off 'Mixico's' train over a bit more distance.

This is close to Frankfurt central station, there's no airport near that point. Those ICE trains are just a hoax! *lol*

Actually the airport is close by, but the reason why the S-Bahn is going faster at this point is down to it's initial burst of acceleration which is important for a frequently stopping train.
