@TheWW2nerd The german people did not kill 17 million soviets. Besides, 7 million of those deaths were actually because of deliberate military action on the part of the Wehrmacht. Many soviet civilians died at the hands of the red army and because of disease and famine in war zones (i.e, 4.5 - 6 million Ukrainians).

Marx said, that demogracy is the first and most important step to reach the freedom for the proletarians. Lenin had no industrial state, it was an agrar state. Not ready for communism, so he had to build a dictatorship. And that was the moment, he betrayed the communism idea. NO socialism country, was ready for socialism as they became to.
