What begins at 1:26 is the most perfect passage of indie guitar I've ever heard, to this day.
Have revered this album for many years.

I saw this band live twice in the 80's - yo la tengo- opened up for them .. they played for nearly 2.5 hours including many of their own songs like "deep Fascination" and "only Life" then about 4 V.U. covers including "what goes on" and "Herion" plus stones songs like "paint it black" and "it's all over now".. very cool to see in front of maybe 100 people!!

I love the way this song builds up... they were one of those undiscovered jewels of the 80's Lou Reed (and many other legends like Mick Jagger) are proud!!

One of the very best albums of the '80's. Peter Buck's production style and sensibilities really show through on this track. Thanks for the memories.

That 'weightless', floating, clear guitar sound is beautiful!
Great band.
