How could there possibly be so many dislikes? Some people are so damned ignorant!!I have been studying classical music for over 40yrs and this is 1 of the best performances I have heard of this concerto. The accoustics are superb. The piano is superb. The orchestra is superb ( ok if u want to be ultra critical they are not quite together a MINISCULE amount of time) but this applies to virtually EVERY other performance in history!! This is magnificent - a truly astonishing concert!!

I agree with all this enthusiasm. Cherkin is an overwhelming young virtuoso with a l personal style that's all his own. On top of that, the guy is absolutely radiant with star quality. It shines out in every move. Potentially, Cherkin could move among the Joshua Bells of this world.
