The idea was emulate the battlefield where you would have more armor on. SO if a opponent was downed they would lose trying to get up. If both opponents fell together then newaza. The referee should not in my opinion halt the action...just like on the battle field , there is no referee. If the fight goes to the ground let it continue.

This kind of Judo is what i like. Olympic Judo should be more like this. I find this more exciting, Judokas going for the Ippon standing or on the ground.

newaza went on for a long time in this vid compared to nowadays. judo should revert to this and forget about the olympics. we would all be much more techical. judo is much more than flashy throws. I've been practising judo for over 5 years. You've got some great vids yukiore!

Thanks Yukiore..Ne Waza Judo is great, here in Italy is studied not so much( Taodochi brown belt judo)
