I started the season with expectations of catching a 40 pound + flathead. By October I was wondering if I would even catch a fish over 35 pounds. Finally during a warm third week in October with high water I finally hooked into a 37 pound flathead. Unfortunately I didn't get to spend as much time on the water as previous years and, when I did get out I had a hard time getting on the fish. Hopefully next year I can get that elusive 40+ on video and find some kind of consistency again. More videos to come with pics of a 39 pound beast caught by my friend John

  • These videos are so fake! I know this guy and he ties big fish that his friends catch to the end of his line and pretends he catches them.

  • @arf165 No That's not true Andy. I bought that fish at the Chinese market

the same place I get my Shiitake mushrooms I use for bait. Now get

your head out your butt and start getting ready for the coming season.

I gonna make it a good one.

  • Nice video Billy, try smiling at the end. You look cuter! :)

  • hey arf165 I know this guy too and his friend, these are real videos. You can't buy a fish like that and put it on your line. I guess if you were a real fisherman you would know that.

  • Please put up more vids, I love these. What kind of reels and hooks do you use? I use an Abu Garcia Catfish Custom 6500, and a Shimano Calcutta 400. For hooks I use 8/0 - 10/0 circle hooks, and I have some 10/0 Big River Hooks for back up. haha

  • Where on the river did you get that? I'm in Lancaster County and my buddies and I get flathead and channel cats all the time.

  • nice one .

  • Alot of hours goes into a fish that big.... well done! Good job editing.. .crack kills ...lol
