@MrBafoonz Sorry for the late reply. As said in the comment below, it is all about keeping all jobs full of workers and keeping workers with jobs that match their skill level.

how do you keep building from looking all abandoned

Oh it's quite fine, I hope that I can help you figure this out.
Here's my solution. Go to another city tile and try creating two other cities the same way you built these two. If it does the same thing, then maybe you could post a video so that I might be able to see if there is anything strange going on. Otherwise, it should be normal. It may be just a demand bug, but usually R-$ is always very high, and I-D is high until you get a good education base.
Hope this helps ;)

yes the desirability's very high for everything in both cities i've zoned commercials already but the demands r only high for $Res. and agriculture, so i've built an agricultural city,
i placed sims & they said they tried every road possible but there is no way to go to work, i made all my streets str8 and placed buss stops.. no use, i even built air ports lol maybe it is that bug they've mentioned in simtropolis?
& Sorry for dragging u into this mess

have you checked the desirability for the zones? Sometimes that will cause it, and if you need to, try and conitnue placing residential zones. Just add commercial zones along the avenues in the res. cities. Eventually the 'economic popcorn' will start popping and the growth will explode. It just takes time, lots of time for starting of the reagion.

There r zones in the industrial city but it's not building up
and the demand for residents is at the top
i connected the city with subways and avenues but it's not working no one goes there :( i feel like giving up on it
i hear about a bug that can cause this? i have the latest NAM does it fix it?

Long commute times and no job zots usually means one thing, not enough jobs. Try going back to your industrial city and adding more zones. It may take a while, but over time the lots of both the res. and ind. should fill up due to the fact that sim city extrapoliates growth in one city to compensate for the growth in the other
ex. If City A just grew to 5,000 residents, then City B will add 4000-5000 jobs to keep up with the demand.
However, this only works if there are enough zones in both.
how do you get a lot of rich people?

@kingofrome100 by building your region or city up right with education and good jobs. it takes more practice than anything else
