Ah Statism - the new boogie man. Its a paper tiger. You made up a name for the dark side of human nature - bravo. And in using to label people and make them "the other" you have become the very darkness you rage against. Stop it.

@solinoure Statism is not the new boogie man, it's been around forever, people are just starting to see the reality of the situation at this point. Besides, dark sides of human nature can exist outside of statism as well, it just has a much harder time taking hold without direct "darksideness". lol

The only "other" I speak of are those who use aggressive violence on peaceful people who simply disagree, and I resemble "them" in NO way. Please, explain how a nonaggressionist is an aggressionist?

The next generation of American children going through the education system are becoming statist-drones. What better citizens to have in the future police-state, than conforming zombies who'll snitch on you for owning a gun or marijuana or just living outside the 'norm' (aka free will).

isn't statusism a more fitting word? status is the basis for the decline of america & civilization in general. those not having it but wanting it, and those who have it and influence the many. just like we (USA) have to have power over the planet - even tho we do not.

@mikeshanklin I look forward to your alternate ideas. I'm open minded, at present I just don't know an alternate method other than taxes to ensure social items get paid for, and those items tend to benefit everyone. grant it some spending benefits only a few and not society at large. That's where the big beef should be. But if you can come up with a better system that's feasible, I'm all ears. A complete voluntary system is just not feasible, greed prevents that. Why communism doesnt work.

@mikeshanklin Something that would save everyone money is if the treasury directly could just issue money for funding government operations instead bonds and paying interest. Tax payers wouldn't have to pay back the interest that the government uses when spending on a deficit as there wouldn't be an outright deficit-- no deficit to pay back.Taxes are a necessary evil. Otherwise Walton family would be contributing lots of money to contrib. to society.I don't see that happening.

@jmitterii2 So, if I disagree with what the taxes go to... I am not allowed to disagree and take my money to something I believe more beneficial?!? Taxation is INVOLUNTARY... it IS theft,... you are taking people's property against their will. Government IS ponzi scheme.... except worse, because even ponzi schemes have to trick people into their system voluntarily... governments FORCE you to participate in their ponzi scheme. Government is WORSE than a ponzi scheme!

And by the way, money is an ASSET, meaning you OWN it, meaning it's YOURS, so NO ONE should be able to take it away. Thus taxes = theft.
