I was cycling up to some temporary lights. I stayed in the queue and waited until the lights turned green, then followed the car in front, in the primary position.
The cyclist in front was over taken. Note that he was cycling in the gutter, and the overtaking car was far too close.
The car driver behind then started using his horn and pointing at the footpath in an attempt to get me out the way, so he could also pass unsafely.
When I stopped to ask what the problem was, he yelled that I should be cycling on the left.
The horn sounding was continued through the second set of lights, and up to the junction where we parted.
If he had passed, he would have saved at most 1s.
Glad to know you drive like that because you've got insurance!
3rd party liability is a standard part of almost all house insurance (even contents-only). Driving is excluded but cycling is covered - so almost all cyclists are insured.
Anyway, it's the driver who would have lost his no claims here, if contact had occurred.

If someone did that to me I'd just cycle really slowly infront of them for as long as possible.

He probably was insured -- and possibly even passed a driving test -- but it still didn't prevent him from driving like an idiot did it! -- I'd rather have 100 cyclists like this one in front of my car than one idiot driver in a car like this one behind me.

1) As a CTC member, I have full insurance when cycling.
2) There are more uninsured cars than the total amount of cyclists in this country.
3) Driving an insured car does not give someone the right to try and intimidate other road users.

In fairness to the driver, I think you were probably a little too pedantic on holding to the primary position. It looked like there may have been room for them to overtake safely had you moved over a little - though that may have just been a trick of the camera position.
Of course, his relentless leaning on the horn does mark him out as a complete and utter moron . . . and once he'd started, there's no way you should have got out of the way!

You were absolutely right to stop. He could have been using his horn to warn you about something dangerous happening to your bike. The fact that you then held him up trying to find out what was the problem was rather unfortunate for the poor driver...... ;-)

W481BFC is an idiot driver that represents the small but ever increasing number of twat car drivers on the road
There was absolutely nothing wrong with your positioning (as you know)
Well done for keeping your position and cool -- if it was me -- the red mist might of descended

Perhaps a bit foolish stopping to argue with him.
