Prepaid Legal Services Scam - Real Or Make Believe?

-Prepaid Legal has come up with an innovative service that is similar to an insurance company. Basically, their customers pay a monthly fee that gives them access and discounts to attorneys for basic services like writing your will, identity theft and buying a house. Its like putting multiple attorneys on retainer for their specific area of expertise.




-Through my research, the services offered are part of the problem, but the business opportunity is the basis of what has become a Prepaid Legal Services scam. The problem that has come into play in the past is that the fine print was not read. In the fine print, the services covered are outlined. For example, if you are on trial for murder, you would not be covered.
-As far as the business works, the existing distributors have the opportunity to sell memberships as well as sign up new associates. The main complaint that I hear most often is that it is a scheme because it is so hard to make money and only a select, chosen few make all of the profits.
-Prepaid Legal is not unlike most other network marketing companies in that the huge failure rate of its distributors to make money causes a lot of people to have a sour taste in their mouths. However, once you take a closer look why distributors fail, you realize that a Prepaid Legal Services scam may be overstating things quite a bit.
