Baby's First Coffin
The Dillinger Escape Plan
Miss Machine

Dear god protect us come on blackest heart she stares forever and then some never again polished barb wire smile tricks
And treats she's done so cut her again gut her again silence tells us we're damned jesus we've gone and done it again
Jimmy's got a new gun in his hand you're being a liar I'm stealing the show you're being a liar I'm ready to go how could
You doubt we would ever find out the emperor is dead goodbye to god dead so long embrace defeat you know we both agreed to
It stick the diamond to it gust of wind to the face never returning favors take the prison to the man I could promise the
World if we could travel through time don't back out on me now relax and remember the promise of the sign I wish you could
See yourself now you look at me like a child the way you glide across the room instrument of seduction let go of it
Rapunzel let it down wait for the signal then bring it down with a smile now become the conductor the way you slide across
The room how wonderful the connection did the last kiss still taste as good as the first or is this just the opening scene of a new play I look
At you like a child but not at all like you looked at me but grace is already dead now is the time to come and face the
Master you should never say yes when you really mean no

  • Maybe one of Dillinger's best.

  • Indeed, Babys first coffin is such an emotional song! Especially the quite part in the middle blows my mind. It is the calm before the storm.

  • @psychoholic25 This is indeed mathcore but that was an awful description of screamo.

  • @mihaimarinescu88 i 100% agree with you, although Dillinger is one of my favorites.

  • @dylan110896 Yes, you are right. It is natural that we all better define and discriminate in our tastes what we like and don't like- especially later in life.

You are right about the spark thing. I do not say that DEP are musically and technically talentless- they really know how to play those instruments. But I fail to find any essence to it all.

  • @mihaimarinescu88 i understand how you feel about this genre. and i did the same thing with nu metal. i abandoned it. it just doesn't make that spark with me like it did when i was younger. anybody who is showing negativity towards you in anyway is a hypocrite. We all, at least in one point in our lives, turned our backs on something and moved on to something new.

  • I prefer Dillinger's older stuff but this is still amazing.

  • @mihaimarinescu88 Most sincerely I used to listen to mathcore back when the days were shit and the girls were heartbreakers, it helped a lot and meant a lot. As time grew by and so did I, screaming all the way lost some of it's meaning, but still I see avantgardism and originality as good factors, to get away from the common place, which most people tend to point towards. Or maybe I just like dissonance as much as I like consonance.

Peace Out, I undestand how you feel towards mathcore now.

  • I always thought Greg sang "Now is the time to come and face the monster."

  • I look at you like a child, but not at all like you looked at me

  • not screamo...screamo is emotional and pussified...this is mathcore.

  • @0bir0nkenobi listen to the album calculating infinity the first song i heard from them was 43% burnt then back track and listen to their older stuff from under the running board
