In this Episode we take a look at cameras for brick animation. With today's technology it's very easy and very in-expensive to create wonderful looking stop-motion animations. Any standard digital video/Web Cam camera that has PC/MAC connectivity can act as a camera.
Be sure your stop motion software can discover the cameras.
Recommended cameras for Stop-motion:
Digital 8 via/firewire
MiniDV via/firewire
Any Web Cam via/USB
DSLR via/USB (with compatible software ie: Stop Motion Pro, Dragon Stop Motion, AnimatorHD).

  • I am buying software for stopmotion called "StopMotion2" if you have any experience with this please tell me about it whether or not it is good or bad, and second thing, the Webcam you used for your pirate movie, can it work on a Macintosh?

    Please reply! Please!

  • @supernalyd3 I don't know about that software, just look at what it can do and google to see what others have to say. The camera I used I don't think works on a mac so I can't help you there.
