The lyrics? Hey World War II boy Holding back a wagging fatter Olaf messing with your luck Keeps you up at night Mel Pool hang a cocoa bean Drags you down helplessly step of fate Tombstones are piling up your last mistake We all wait for you to give us a break Give us a break! Sashay through the sarcasm Stalking, skulking through the sargassum Planning revenge on your friends

Oh, and the song is called "World War Two Boy."

The guy who wrote this surprisingly good song is named Jamie DeFrates. He actually made a career scoring film and won a couple Emmy awards. He has a website you can find if you Google him.

John Carradine's "Night Train To Mundo Fine",
Arch Hall Jr.'s "Valerie",
Khristy's "O.K. Connery",
"Yipes Stripes" from "Teenage Strangler",
The Fontanelles' "Kiss Kicker 99"
Just think of all the bizarre,ill-conceived pop tunes that would've gone unheard had it not been for MST3K.
You can buy the song on Amazon for .99 cents.

@CASTR0VANIA Thanks for the info! After your comment I decided to investigate and discovered that it's also available on iTunes. Search for "World War Two Boy" by Jamie DeFrates. iTunes is also selling it for 99 cents. Yay! My long wish of having a clean copy is finally realized.

The font and the folk music is an odd opening to a depressing, weird monster flick.

Isn't it, though? I think they were going for "deep," but it's just funny.
