We wouldn' have that problem if the christian right in this coutry would get their act together and stop being assholes. Not all christians (and in turn religious people) are creaionists but all creationists are religious. And fundamentalist religion is dangerous, it's what the US constitution was made to prevent while ensuring people cans till be religious if they choose (so long as they don't infringe on others' rights) but what do we see instead?

@GargantuanLifeform99 And about ridiculing creationists... well, they do the same AND worst since they have to lie and distort the facts to try to fool others into believing the ridiculous non-sense they do.

So ridiculing religious fools is not enough, we have simply to stop them as we all know how dangerous it is to let religion run free as we have the dark ages to remind us that we should be 300 years ahead and have already found the cure for cancer, AIDS, hunger etc if we were religion free

You have no idea, by what you just wrote, what "the scientific method" and I amo not here to hold your hand and help you cross the street but I tell you right now, science doesn't work with beliefs but facts...

@GargantuanLifeform99 (continues) either irrefutably disproved (earth being flat and/or the center of the universe, the earth/universe being only 6 thousands yo. etc.) or it is nothing more than speculation/made up stories of all-powerful yet ridiculously shallow-minded and jealous divine entities (the god from the bible acts worse than a spoiled teen-girl that wants to be the center of attention all the time).

So, one thing is certain, religion has nothing concrete to say about our place here!
