@iyamt no, this was at the same key with the studio one and she was having a cold. That was why she was struggling and avoided to sing the high notes. The other version was lowered.

@GiuseppePascuale928 nobody can do whitney songs! nobody , they can do their own version but to sing in her keys with her resonance? nobody, everytime american idol comes on and they start to butcher her songs i just come back to listen to the original.. everytime.

It sounds as though she is fighting some sort of cold or vocal strain, and this is a very demanding song to sing even when in perfect voice. She got through this like the true pro that she was.
