  • It is what it is. You do yourself dis-service when you try to classify it. It's HAWKWIND. The only two things constant about Hawkwind are Dave Brock, and the fact that Hawkwind CHANGES. Just my $.02.. which in 'united States of America'n terms equates to approximately $8.47 dollars in debt (pronounced SLAVERY.)

  • Never forget whiting out in a freezing squat in 1984 with this playing. Happy daze !

  • Great track. Great songwriter, Calvert. One of my favourite 'Hawkwind' albums.

  • hawkwind is timeless,an so is fogzax...wikkid vid for sure,its hawkind,or hawklords....anything hawky is fuckin trippy....get yaself there...now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing track and typical for Hawkwind/Calvert is totally unsung yet very influential (especially the Psychedelic Furs singing). When I came across the group Cold War kids I wondered if they named themselves after the great Calvert track. I did a search and came across an early interview a couple of years ago where they said they did! Unfortunately it's since disappeared off the net o_0

  • A pure Calvert track and all the better for it. A truly beautiful album!

I think Brock mostly did backing vocals. I know he played a lot of acoustic guitar. I heard HW play 'Microman' in a soundcheck 1995 Atlanta GA- It sounded very close to the album, regards the vocals.. so I'm not sure.. I heard about the Canadian incident too. I admit that the 'Lolita' story I got was word of mouth only; I did hear it from several non-connected mouths- but such is the nature of rumour. I probably did wrong by repeating it. =\
