Forest Temple Sequence Break

Reset glitch in forest temple where you are enabled to skip the four monkeys. It would save a solid 4 minutes, according to SunJiano's speedrun, but apparently isn't allowed in a run on SDA. I don't know if you have to be on your final heart or not when you do it but that's how I did it the first time so when I recorded it I did the same thing. Oh and you have to watch the cutscene or else the monkeys disappear.

Edit: The final cutscene for the monkeys to climb onto the branch and swing so you can get to the boss key does not occur, so you cannot continue. So if you do this glitch, do not save your file after getting the boomerang.


So basically this is an early boomerang but for the wii and no clipping necessary.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I can get the back in time glitch to work fairly regularly now, but haven't gotten this to work once.

I dunno, did you do it on your last heart? The only really cool thing about this glitch is the cut scene skip in the first room that you save the monkey where the bridge falls. So the bridge is still up and somehow animated so you can run on it and stuff lol.

Weird, why does this happen?

It shouldn't save at all, and it still does the title screen so I guess it's not like the Back in Time thing.

i dunno, but some cool stuff comes out of it like that shaky bridge that you run over and falls in the room where you save the second monkey is still there and you can run over it and it won't fall (i'm posting a video, or two, in response to this one showing what the results of this is).

how do i put games or save files into the wii,by sd card?if so,how do i put it in the computer?

uhh a decent amount lol i've completed with everything once and beaten it like 5 other times just straight through. this time i'm just recording first tries for each segment unless there's a really bad screw up like i fall, like i did here.
