@soulchildsacomin You are absolutely right. Those 3 songs you mentioned ''I Just Begun To Love You'', ''Groove Control'' and ''Do Me Right Baby'' were the songs that best described Dynasty. I used to rock to thjose songs back thrnin Nigeria. Might I also add ''Here I am,''

You're right about Adventures In The Land of Music being their best effort (also my favorite Dynasty lp, with Right Back Atcha in second place) with the hit singles "I Just Begun To Love You," "Groove Control," and :Do Me Right Baby." The ballad "Take Another Look At Love" should have been a single because that was really nice. That album did soo well that it had 4 promotional videos realeased.

@soulchildsacomin I agree with you when you said DYNASTY is a funky version of SHALAMAR! In my opinion, ADVENTURES IN THE LAND OF MUSIC was their best effort...I liked all their other ones too YOUR PIECE OF THE ROCK,, THE SECOND ADVENTURE, RIGHT BACK AT CHA, OUT OF CONTROL/DAYDREAMIN' and WHY did they release two last albums with different titles with the same cover??? I tell you, the industry is a trip...but DYNASTY is a very overlooked band who should have gained more noteriety.

Right Back At Cha was a kick ass album (I got the whole album on itunes) that should've covered more ground than it did. "Check It Out" is one Leon's best produced songs. When this album dropped in late 1982, so did Michael jackson's Thriller, Prince's 1999, Lionel Richie's self titled debut, and Kool & The Gang's As One which were popular pop/R&B albums to begin 1983 with! Dynasty was a very funky version of Shalamar!

I heard Leon Sylvers used to used a mallet for his kick drums and would do all the music by himself. He was Prince before Prince.
