She's from musical theatre for goodness sake, there must be emotion. Her speaking the words is expressing some sort of emotion. Besides correct me if I am wrong, the original composer is Andrew Lloyd Webber not Madonna's songwriters.

BRILLIANT! madonna is kaka and lupone is a turd compared to this genius talent. The americans worship the latter two because they have no knowledge of real talent any longer. They've been served junk food since so long they think it is fine food. All the genius of Broadway and cinema are dead.

My wife loved seeing the Madanna version on film so I played her a version of Ms. Paige singing it. She went WOW, REALLY.... why did they have Madanna in that movie...lol.

amazing that her vocal cords sound very impressing after 40 years on the stage! yes I think that her vocal cords have worn down but she is better at rocking the stage than I can ever hope to do one day! I still say that miss Elaine Paige is my favourite singer! You go Elaine!
