A Minecraft spawner is a complex block. It has some subtle behaviors that are important to understand if you want to build an XP grinder using one. I explored those behaviors experimentally and built a visualization that shows the ranges involved.

  • Whats the axe mod called?

  • @zluhcss Axe mod? Dunno what that is. I list all the mods and tools used for the video in the video description.

  • By gravity, I mean the rate at which blocks fall, the arch of an arrow, or of any projectile (ie: dispensers) and the speed which they travel.

  • @RyanLokan While there's clearly a lot of things you can learn about Minecraft gravity, I don't see any practical applications. My science videos are intended to learn about fundamental behaviors so that you can do something useful (or optimal). What practical applications do you see for understanding Minecraft gravity?

  • Hey Tavi.

I love your videos man, thank you for doing this for us!

But really, I could sum up most of your videos up in a minute.

It's just a suggestion, but it would be great if you could make your videos more... compact and efficient.

  • @NLhardcorebobNL Another part is that sometimes my conclusions are wrong or too inaccurate, as happened a couple times with minecarts. Showing my methods helped get the critical feedback necessary to refine the experiments.

    I believe that's it

  • @40Headquarters I just tested this, and you're correct! If you have 6 cave spiders within the detection range of a regular spider spawner, it won't spawn more spiders. HOWEVER, the opposite is not true! If you have 6 regular spiders within the detection range of a cave spider spawner, it will still happily spawn more cave spiders!

    Ugh. I hate cave spiders.

  • Will you make a all you need to know about red stone video???? It would be very helpful to the people who are not so good with red stone. So please do this and I will tell a lot of people to subscribe to you.

  • Are you going to make a video about a xP Farm like u told in this video? Would be great, cause mine are highly inefficient ...

  • Please make new videos! Maybe dispensers? Or gravity?

  • @TaviRider It's a feature of Singleplayer Commands.

  • @zluhcss its part off world edit. it also come with single player commandes if u download it

  • @TaviRider i think he is talking about world edit :3 btw love your vids

  • @zluhcss I think you mean WorldEdit, it is actually a Bukkit plugin for SMP, but it is implemented in SiglePlayerCommands to use in SP :)

  • Use minecarts to get the monsters in the killing zone. Maybe put dispensers shooting arrows at them. I dont know it that gives you xp.

  • Whens the next VIDD??????!!!!!!!!!!
