In der Saison 09/10 wäre der Check also auch in der NHL noch erlaubt gewesen. Da es sich aber nicht um einen North-South handelt, wäre dieser Check in der NHL unerlaubt.

Das heisst soviel wie: Ein Check von der "blinden" Seite des Spielers, bei dem der Kopf das Ziel und/oder der Hauptkontaktpunkt ist, ist nicht erlaubt.
Wichtig: Betroffen sind nur Side-to-Side-Hits.
