@GOODPLAYA20 he has one more year at 1.4 million, regardless of whether he plays in the AHL or NHL, I doubt he will retire until then, and if he were bought out it would cost the rangers the 1.4 million on the salary cap since the contract was signed after his 35th birthday. That's the cap situation, the good news is he can have a cozy seat in the AHL for one more season without affecting the Rangers cap. Wouldn't you collect those final paychecks if you were Brashear? And lastly what a career!

And the fact that he's playing for the Rangers organization when the last thing he did the season before was take one of the biggest cheap shots on Blair Betts shows just how arrogant and stupid Glen Sather is. The soon he leaves, gets fired or hit by a bus, the better.

He WAS one of the best fighters in the league and yes, he is a legend, I agree 100% on that. As far as respect goes thats hard to give him with what he has done lately and at the tale end of his career.
