One of the most stunning escalator rides I have had, and I believe you will agree. These escalators are the Q Street entrance to the Dupont Circle station of the Metro in Washington, D.C. It's as if you're riding directly into the heavens, past the normal ground level.
"This video will move you."
Music from "A Descent Into The Maelstrom" by the Philip Glass Ensemble.
i take this escalator everyday - there's nothing stunning about it when it breaks down and you gotta walk it. and speaking of walking.....WALK LEFT, STAND RIGHT.

Visited DC last Sep-2009. Love the Metro Rail, so fun and easy. The dread locked dudes so fine at Metro satation red line.

I used to live near there, and I loved to ride the escalators down to the station.

Your video makes my daily commute seem so dramatic! I love it! Philip Glass/"life out of balance" is a wonderful choice for the music.
