Runescape Slayer Guide - Terror Dogs [HD]

This is my guide which shows how to effectively finish your Terror Dogs task.

Terror Dogs can be killed in Tarn's Lair. To get to Tarn's Lair, you can run through Tarn's entire dungeon or you can use the ring of slaying teleport. If you don't have access to this teleport (because you haven't completed Tarn's miniquest) then it's highly recommended to skip this task as traversing the dungeon can take over 15 minutes each time.

Terror Dogs are found at the very end of Tarn's Lair. This area will constantly drain your prayer, with no way to prevent this so using prayers in this area is strongly discouraged.

The Terror Dogs can hit quite a bit of damage due to the multi-combat zone that they are in and their relatively high offensive stats. A healing familiar with adequate amounts of food should be sufficient to kill these nonetheless.

Guthan's armour is also a very good idea when killing here, but don't become too complacent as you might still need to eat some food with guthan's.

The Terror Dogs can be killed in the recesses on the sides of the room. This should funnel the Terror Dogs, so you will be fighting 1 or 2 at a time. This is slower in the long run, but it's safer for those of you with lower stats.

It is also possible to safespot the level 110 Terror Dogs in these recesses if you stand against an appropriate wall. This can only be successful if the Terror Dogs are no longer aggressive, but you can safely range or halberd the Terror Dogs here.

Please note, a cannon can't be used here.

And what if you don't have slayer helmet and if you don't have ring of slaying and don't have high enough summoning for a familiar and don't have the herblore lvl to make extremes?

@PersonalCheese In that case, you use something called common sense. Use the best helmet you can... Get to the Terror Dogs through the Mine... Use a lower familiar or take food... Use super potions...

I kindof think if you have a unicorn familiar and can make extreme potions etc.., you're experienced enough to not need a guide like this. I was expecting it to be related more to less experienced players with a guide of the dungeon. It was a nice guide, but not helpful to me personally cause this is my first time being assigned this, and I don't have the ring of slaying yet. Thanks for the armour/weapon set up though, that was helpful.
