I remember the first time I heard this song, driving the Pacific Coast Highway, top down, San Fran to Carmel. Everytime this came on the radio, I ended up driving faster, turning up the music, wind in my hair , eating concord grapes and wondering if I will ever see her face again. She broke my heart, and although happily married 17 years with two kids, I think of her whenever I hear this song. Maybe someday the phone will ring and I can hear her voice and smile. Waiting for that day!!!!

To those who responded to my post, it is comforting to know that others still feel the sting of loss. Not minor losses, but the loss of true, deep, soul touching love. There is a place in the soul where only God dwells and, if you are luck, 1 or 2 that u place there. Facebook is an amazing thing. After 25 years, she did reach out to me. We speak frequently. It is healing to know, it was not in vain and, despite choices that left me in the cold, it was known and appreciated.

My ex's have always been so organized sooo successful just look at Bruce R and G chouteau and Theresa SDiego and M Miles and Christina Wong and Gayle C and down the list of cancers who gave up on this Virgo.. my favourite song of all time i listened to this when i was diagnosed with cancer thinking that my children would forget me. It was this song and others that got me through such a bad time, i cannot tell how the lord got me through too but this listen without prejudice album helped me so much pure genius
