.17hmr got a bad name with Semi-autos because dumbasses think every semi should be fired as fast as possible. The .17hmr presented problems in semi's that had not taken this into account. I've put thousands of rounds through my Remington 597 (.17 hmr) and my Magnum Research semi. Flawless action, but I don't shoot like Rambo.

caution: theres a warning in many sites including hornady and excel arms clearly states that you should not use .17 hmr in semi autos...theck the sites plz.
