The theme of this chapter is more tragic (but still "I am the Arsonist" express more anger than the other songs, other than "Vices" and "Born Dead"). The conflict between the couples arises into some kinda warlike conflict. In the song "We are not the World", the singer was treated by his girl as a game, whereas he treated her as his life. But because of her treason, he felt so much loneliness and hatred which comes to the point that he wanted to kill her. He succeeded in killing her in the end by burning her house down while she was trapped inside.

The story continues in the song "A Hero Loses Everyday" as the singer felt so much loss. He actually got caught and accused as the suspect in the arson. He was sent to the interrogation room to investigate everything. He's eager to find a way out as he was locked up in the room until the next day. Luckily, he was proven not guilty due to lack of evidence. As he was on his way home to his motel room, he felt more remorse. And when he arrives, he committed suicide... :(
