24X48 rink. Red lines made with red tissue paper. Just mist it on and it sticks instantly. The rink is 24x48, but next year I will go 48x30. (Can't go any bigger due to the size of my yard.) The lines are made of red rolls of tissue paper. I used 12 sheets of 3/8 plywood and 48-- 2x4's. The wood cost about $250, and the tarp is about $100. But now I will be able to set the rink up in a couple of hours next year since it will come apart in 8 ft sections.

  • How much did it cost to make the rink? I want to make one too.

  • @dhizzy13 $100 for the tarp, 14 sheets of plywood at $15 a sheet, 2x4's and screws so about $300- $350

  • did you use a snow base? i live in new jersey and i built one last year with no snow base and it took a while to freeze, like 3 days, and then in some spots it never fully froze.. any tips?

  • @21Rushisaband12 yes we used a snow base, but just to fill in the low spots. we also sprayed it with water and packed it down so it was hard
