- to get CS:S running on the aspire one I used the following mod: http://www.pureoverclock.com/download-3.html

-also run in DX 7 by adding "-dxlevel 70" to the launch options for CS:S in steam

-To get Halo running properly and @ 1024x600; use this same procedure, but for 1024x600 instead of 1680x1050:
