Illinois Public Media's Book Mentor Project will host a benefit called "Words in the Wind" on Thursday, November 10 in Champaign. Cara Maurizi, heard here singing a song about Amelia Earhart, will be one of the personalities bringing children's books to life at the event.

Live and Local is heard weekdays from noon to 1 pm on WILL FM 90.9. Kevin keeps you informed about local music performances by performers both local and national. The program includes interviews with the artists, as well as educators, students, administrators and audience members. You'll hear features on the many performing groups throughout our listening area, a daily calendar of music events, and (of course!) lots of music.
