A Texas Medical Association physician, just back from Washington, D.C., told Congress the Medicare cut puts patients in jeopardy. Because of the cut, her medical practice might be forced to reduce the number of Medicare patients they can treat. They are also contemplating laying off half of their staff. The doctor told Congressional members the solution is to permanently fix the flawed Medicare reimbursement formula used to pay physicians.
