@zomgtehrei Yep, tilt shift lens give the image a very 'miniature-ish' look, blurred background and foreground, leaving the focal area very narrow, much like what you see when you take pictures of miniatures. The colors then have their contrast and saturation turned up in order to give the picture a 'painted' look.
