Shouldn`t that be English ...not british.
Not only was Ireland invaded by the normans, but also Scotland and Wales.
Then again, if you want to smear Cromwell with that brush, then remember, he was an english mercenary soldier, hired by certain dutchmen....
Consider too, the people of Scotland and Wales, do you think, given the current movements to independence that either are overly fond of the westminster tyrants.

Yes and England was invaded by the Normans which made hardly any racial impact on any of Britain.

The "racial impact" of the Norman conquests is insignificant, my point being all societies  develop military and economic models for survival.
The Norman model was one of continued war and expansion, which was itself then expanded by the government of London to become the British empire.
The empire was not a charity set up to bring education and health services to the poor, but to exploit them, under military rule, to the profit of the throne, and its` cronies in banking and commerce.
