Who sings the high-pitched line, "love" in this song? Fans debate against Mel B and Melanie C.

Why would it be Mel B? Her voice in other areas of this song is clearly identical to the vocal in question.

Why would it be Melanie C? She is known to have the high notes in most Spice Girls songs.

In my opinion, it is in fact Mel B. Have a listen for yourself. If Melanie C fans listened to Mel B's solo work AT ALL, they'd see that Mel B has a vocal range outside of her comfort zone and is capable of reaching such a pitch.

"Weekend Love" is performed by the Spice Girls and taken from their third album 'Forever.' Copyright Virgin Records, EMI Publishing.

  • It's Melanie C, anyone who knows her voice knows it's her. The tone of her voice is very unique compared to the other girls.

  • Its Mel B... no doubt. mel b always struggle with the high pitch line... she mentioned in her book, she was pushed to do it by the producers as mention in her book, Catch a Fire. this cud be the one she was mentioning.

  • Listen to mel b sing 'hold on' from her 2nd album then you will realise it IS her singing the part.

  • sounds like Darkchild mixed both of the mels vocals alittle, we should send them an email..
