I decided to go natural at the age of 49 (last year). I too didn't remember what my hair looked like. I wish I had gone natural years ago. Mom, your natural hair is much more flattering than your perm. I'm encouraging my daughter to go natural. There are so many benefits. Good luck, hope you hang in there.

You and Your mother are gorgeous!!! Her hair is beautiful and her story is like mine in that my daughter inspired me to go natural. I also have the same book. I especially appreciate her sharing her prayer. I did the same. It is definitely not easy and sometimes you have people that discourage you, however He will give you strength to move past that. Thanks for sharing!!!:)
