I was on the Cosham roundabout and riding a comfortable secondary position for exiting onto the A3 to Cosham with a view to going to McDonalds for a snack. Just after I passed the A27 exit I was aware of a bus moving alongside me and that he was leaving at the same exit. He moves to the left and forces me to cross the hatched markings and move into the nearside lane which, luckily, was empty. As he leaves the roundabout he also strays into the nearside lane. If I hasd been going straight on to use the eastbound A27 I would have been knocked off.

This will be reported to First bus and I wait their repsonse with anticipation.

  • your on a bicycle, he's a bus, I think he has the right of way.

  • @wildbc2011. Sorry, I don't follow your logic. Do you mean that if you're in a car and he's in a bus then he has right of way?

  • when idontpayroadtax does not upload anymore video's he's probably dead

  • @beatmakerbrown . Either that or he is resigned to shit driving and now only posts the really bad stuff. Motorists passing at 40 mph and within 6 inches is normal.

  • I like your user name. I also don't pay road tax, but I say that from the comfort of a heated cab of a 2 ton 4x4. I can go anywhere I like in a fraction of the time it takes you, and I can carry all my work tools and other large items with me. Not something easily done on a bicycle. Why not buy a classic Leaf Sprung Land Rover. Then nobody in a bus would cut you up!

  • @MAPFWH, I'm surprised that no-one has told you to get off the road and use the cycle lanes of you don't pay road tax!!

  • @subWOOFFA. Good observation. They are also populated by motorbikes, lorries and the occasional horse.

  • @Fraser3005. Thanks for advising me to use the cycle lane. If you have crossed this junction on a bike you'd know that the cycle lane has several blind corners which bring cyclists into conflict with pedestrians, goes a long way around under subways with glass and other debris and has a poor surface in several places.

Well done on spotting the 60mph limit. It's reassuring to know that it is a limit and not a target. God help anyone if the bus could have gone from zero to 60mph.

  • @idontpayroadtax I wouldn't hear them, with the noise my knackered smoky diesel engine makes :P Seriously, buy one, they ae increasing in value, are exempt from LEZ charging, and insurance is less than £100 a year (For me, but I'm an old git) If I was told to drive off the road, I could, quite easily. As for broken glass, I have South African miltary spec tyres, and they're thorn proof at least! Happy pedalling!

  • @beatmakerbrown. I think your argument is completely flawed, but thanks for increasing my viewing figures.

  • its people like you that die on these roundabouts, its happened loads of times, and if you died nobody would be to blame but you.

  • Don't be a fool and put your life in someone else's hands on a 60mph limit roundabout, particularly when there is a perfectly good cycle lane on the pavement..............
