A character that seems to leap right out of a Monte Python skit, Lord Monckton is the darling of those who wish desperately to beleve the fantasy of climate denial. No need for alarm folks its just science. Sadly most alarmists found are those invented in the heads of the climate change deniers. Who feel alarmed when they realise transitional change will cost a few bucks. Or alarmed when they think the communists are going to take over. Or the alarmed when they believe the reasons for warming is some vast global conspiracy manipulated by shadow like figures in various governments or labs. What a mass wastage of space.

@Richard482 On the day after the speech, the energy secretary, John Wakeham, told the House of Commons that he had been forced to abandon the government's insane plan to privatise nuclear power. It was Thatcher who insisted that "nothing can stop the great car economy" and her ministers who announced "the biggest roadbuilding programme since the Romans".

Regarding Margaret Thatcher's speech at the end of the video. I quote from George Monbiot writing in the guardian newspaper.

you pro-global carbon tax and al gore loving spastics don't realise that if we were to totally shut down c02 emissions in the west it would make no difference since the deveolping countries will soon be using far more as they become industrialised so carry on bending over to ever increasing taxes all so you can feel green and earth friendly. do you fucks even know what you want? you can't cut c02 if you want the world to still go round, but that's okay the government will save us all.
