Awesome!! I've never come across such large quartz crystal groups before that were in such weathered rock. Good luck and keep on finding those beautiful crystal specimens. :D

Yes, its very weathered, this quartz and surrounding rock is said to be around 400 million years old! Formed around the time of the appalachains which are some of the oldest mountains in the world! Its a ton of fun digging them up. I'll have to put up a link or something to the picture of this piece now that its cleaned, its better than we thought:)
