I remember watching the original airing of this on MTV about a thousand years ago. I think it was right before "Reckoning" came out and this was a pre-release promo. What a song!

REM was big with birthing of American Alternative Rock. The I.R.S.'s Cutting Edge was the first Alternative Rock TV show on only once a month late Sunday Night . Differnent from the Brit synthpop "haircut" bands. Thing is that is all in hindsight when you look back at it. At the time I liked it all. It was all part of the "New Wave' movement to me back then, oppositise of what we now call "Classic Rock" (which stated out great but had gotten boring )
